A friend of mine is having a teleseminar today. I sign up for so many events that I often have trouble remembering when the events are scheduled! Can you relate to this?
Her teleseminar has an event reminder button so that I can easily place her event in my calendar. How cool is that? Well, I immediately had event reminder button envy and had to find a way to do this for my own events and so off I went to do my research. I found a free service and wanted to make sure I made my readers aware of this. Not only is it free, but it also renders plug and play code! I love it!
It is called cronote which is a play on the “cron” command from Unix systems. It lets visitors schedule email and text message reminders about your upcoming products. It also has analytics so you can see how it’s being used. Cronote maintains an accurate record of every reminder. You can use Cronote’s analytics to visualize how many reminders have been scheduled and when each reminder will be sent. This way, even if you’re launching several events at once, you can have the peace of mind knowing you’re not bombarding your audience with communications!
I created a test reminder and I was presented with a neat snippet of code that I could easily just place in the text area of my WordPress website and the button appears exactly where I want it!
There is also a Tracking feature. Every reminder contains a unique URL that redirects to your website. This allows you track which reminders have led to sales. Think about how this works: Users visit your site, they like your product and they aren’t ready to buy, or the product isn’t available yet. Maybe you’re doing a 3 -video launch prior to officially opening the doors? They can use the Cronote Remind Button to remember your product at a later time like when they will have the money to purchase your product!
This is the only service to offer SMS text message reminders through a website button and they don’t have nagging advertisements attached to the button! The SMS text message reminder is $.05 per message. Try it out, I’m sure you’ll be glad you did!
